What are common types of roofing?

Roofs are one of the most visible parts of
the house. They also take a battery of
torture. There are different types of roof
and the most common types of roofing
materials used are:
- Asphalt shingles - the most popular
roofing used in America today. They can be
reinforced with either fibreglass or organic
shingles with the former being more popular.
- Wood shingles or shakes - They are
usually made out from cedar.
- Tile - it is a durable roofing material
but can get quite expensive.
- Metal - Several types are available like
the flat locked copper. Metal roofing can be
broken down into two groups, the
architectural and the structural.
