What kind of preventative maintenance should I do for my roof?
Answered By Rae Fakner, Editor
Roofs are accustomed to being exposed to the
open space, resulting to much more damage due
to the elements present in the atmosphere. To
save yourself from bigger cost or repairing,
or much worse, replace your roofing, it is
recommended to perform general inspection on
your roof at least twice a year and spot the
problems to make some repairs if necessary.
That is the best preventive maintenance you
can achieve in order to eradicate unnecessary
costs.
Be sure to keep your roof clean. Remove any
debris that can cause damages. Clean your
gutters and check for mildews and molds.
Also, repair damages as soon as they are
done. Remove rust and water trappings.
